Events Editor

The Writ is looking for someone who has a finger on the pulse of today... someone who makes connections and keeps them in a back-pocket rolodex... someone in New England who likes to go out on the town and see where the words are thriving... someone with opinions and passion for the writing community...

...and if this special someone chooses to accept his or her true mission in life, The Writ will have found its new Events Editor.

Position Responsibilities

  • Keep tabs on creative word-related events in the New England area (e.g. poetry slams, author readings, writing workshops, book store openings, open mics, and whatever else you think our readers need to know about).
  • Organize this info into a calendar of events and submit it to The Writ by the 20th of the every month.
  • Write or delegate the responsibility to write one or two reviews about events each month.

Please note: Like all Writ Staff positions, this is a volunteer position currently without a monetary stipend. Only dedicated, community-minded individuals need apply.

Also: No experience with HTML is necessary, but you will be asked to learn a thing or two about it (nothing complicated... promise.)
