The Chauvinist + The Freshman

I overheard a conversation today
between a chauvinist and a freshman.
He was saying how amazing it was
to have been placed in his dorm
next to the girls’ hallway
his freshman year.
(He got to see toweled ladies
scurrying to and from the showers.)
The freshman gave a
“That was not P.C.” look.
Until the chauvinist said,
“C’mon… You’d love it, too.”
The freshman paused, thought,
and agreed.
I didn’t have to bite my lip
because there just
were no words.
