email: Slugga659@aol.com
age: 21
occupation: cook
passions: guitar, surfing, writing, reading, hiking, snowboarding, tennis, and stepping outside of my comfort zone
influences: Mostly people in my life so names would probably mean nothing to you (the anonymous reader). As far as writers go, off the top of my head I'll say that Daniel Quinn, Ayn Rand, Kurt Vonnegut, and George Orwell had me look at things in a fresh new light. Also, Bob Marley turned me onto a lot of stuff that was going on in the world at a young age so I can't forget to give
props to Bob.

Song Lyrics
Island Soul
Stone House

At One
one mans philosophy spun through the fibers of flowery language
one child's heart filtered through an alphabet for meaning
one mind's electricity grounded by the rhythms of punctuation
one mouth's melody rehearsed for a stanza in spotlight
one ember wave delicately sliding across tree skeletons, forgetting
one live horn accentuating the cities of emotion, noticing a cleverness to the shuffling streets
one broken heart easing itself with the sound of dole drums and blowing sand dunes
one quiet evening outside, letting the opus of frog songs and leaf dances perform freely into our own wilderness
one sanctuary, wherever harmonies can collide without abrasion and warm drinks meet cool lips, books and familiar eyes
one family, without the bullshit of nuclear expectations or the limitations of archetypes... perhaps a looser definition, we all are
one life, but it shall grant us the power to lay foot prints on land and ripples in stream that shall last forevermore

Stone House

life changes like a secret poem to me
I never tire of it's verse
I love too much to ever feel lonely
though sonnets end and pages turn

but I found the only questions
worth a grain of time
to truly find an answer
are the ones with none to find

I chucked the reigns and let the horses lead
my voice rose high without restraint
destiny is as a potter kneads
free will a brush, and I the paint

but I found the only questions
worth a grain of time
to truly find an answer
are the ones with none to find

I kissed the earth and shivered silently
the sky lingered on my breath
I wonder why we're born so violently
though we die peaceful, we fear death

but I found the only questions
worth a grain of time
to truly find an answer
are the ones with none to find

I rode the moon and held the sun in hand
I cried an ocean on the dirt
across the horizon, just one lonely man
one lonely man, one revived Earth

but I found the only questions
worth a grain of time
to truly find an answer
are the ones with none to find

if they tell you change your route
keep a foundation like a stone house
theres no need to wander about
keep a foundation like a stone house
never sell your essence out
keep a foundation like a stone house

keep a foundation like a stone house

Island Soul

you thought you knew me well
but you couldn't see me
truth is the climbing the mountain of self
some cliffs aren't so easy

push down those shades on your eyes
those windows are lonely
lets strike the samba tonight
dance until we hold we

all you need is a tender heart
and two firm feet that refuse to part

listen close to the wayward breeze
thoughts can blow like tumble weeds
hands can build and hands can destroy
it's the web of life, and we must weave for joy

oh island soul
you know who I am
oh island soul
only you know where I stand

every man is an island
connected by the ocean
do not give way to invasive species
and keep your waves in motion

I love you more than you know
each and every spirit
listen to the wayward breeze
and I know you'll hear it

all you need is a tender heart
and two firm feet that refuse to part

beauty's found in sparkling eyes
beauty needs no reprise
beauty shines too brightly for lies
beauty, love me, hold me inside

oh island soul
you know who I am
oh island soul
you know where I stand
